Archives
Contacts between the MeMO project and a number of holding archives in the Netherlands have led to the digitisation of a large number of memorial registers. These are mentioned in the relevant records in the database and can be consulted on the websites of the holding archives. The digitisation of the archival sources was made possible for a large part by a subsidy of the Research School for Medieval Studies and was carried out by the Groninger Archieven in Groningen.
Volunteers
The MeMO project has generated an informal network of genealogists, local historians and other people with an interest in the Middle Ages. The cooperation of these volunteers at photo sessions in churches all over the Netherlands, the information and photos they provided so freely have made a major contribution to the floor slabs and tomb monuments database.
